The Jan Becher Museum is a part of the Becherplatz community area, which is a favourite tourist destination in Karlovy Vary. It is situated at the site of the former Becherovka factory built in 1867 and every year, thousands of Carlsbad liqueur lovers from all over the world come to visit.
The Museum’s refurbished cellars enable access to places connected by the famous Becherovka pipeline. Standing under the stone vaults, visitors can enjoy the Becherovka aroma, admire the beauty and durability of original casks marked with the unmistakable symbol of the Becher family, and, of course, taste liqueurs produced in the Karlovy Vary distillery.
The interactive exposition will take visitors step by step through the history of Becherovka liqueur and individual phases of its production – blending herbs and spices followed by digeration and finally liqueur bottling and shipping.
Guests may choose to finish the tour by visiting the Museum shop which offers interesting souvenirs in addition to Becherovka and other products from our portfolio. Some of them (for example the exquisitely designed book titled the Secret of the Thirteenth Spring) can only be purchased here.
