In July we had launched the first ever edition of kosher Becherovka. Our oldest herbal liqueur had to undergo detailed control of ingredients, production process and technology.

In July we had launched the first ever edition of kosher Becherovka. Our oldest herbal liqueur had to undergo detailed control of ingredients, production process and technology. Most of the 20 000 bottles will be exported to Israel, Russia and the USA. Kosher Becherovka Original will be also available on Czech market.

Issuing of kosher certificate with international validity was preceded by a visit and detailed inspection of our factory in Carlsbad by Rabbi Menachem Kalchheimem. Israeli rabbi supervised the cleaning (so called koshering) of the equipment, inspected the ingredients and sealed the tanks, where maceration, mixing, clearing, and freezing process of Becherovka Original are provided.

“Becherovka means a traditional Czech liqueur to me. Kosher Becherovka stands for a symbol of Jewish kosher quality and Czech national tradition in one,” Menachem Kalchheim, Israeli rabbi and representative of the Jewish community in Prague.

Kosher batch is available in 0, 7 liter bottles. Each bottle of kosher Becherovka Original is provided with a special rear label, where Hebrew text and „Kosher – parve“ symbol are printed.
